Highland Base is in Iceland’s Central Highlands. There are no stores or supermarkets in this remote region. We highly recommend you stock up on supplies before journeying to Highland Base. The nearest grocery stores and gas stations lie south of Highland Base in Flúðir, or to the north in Blönduós and Varmahlið.
